Lee Trevino Tower

A 257.3 kW DC solar carport system serving a multi-tenant office building on El Paso's east side, owned by The Broker Co. Rather than compete for roof area on an occupied building, the array was built over the parking field — which shades tenant vehicles and puts generation directly alongside the load it serves.

525 modules across six carport segments, five inverters, and a load ratio of 1.03. The system covers roughly 40% of the building's annual electricity consumption, during the hours the building is occupied and the utility charges the most.

University of Texas at El Paso

UTEP's first solar installation on campus: a 185 kW system combining a rooftop array on the Student Recreation Center with a parking canopy at the Facilities Services Building. The university funded it through a $1 million Distributed Renewable Energy Technology grant from the Texas State Energy Conservation Office, matched with its own Green Fund.

We were selected as the local installation partner alongside McCormick Architecture and McArch Construction, coordinating with more than half a dozen contractors and university departments against a grant deadline. The rooftop portion had a hard window of two days to set every panel. We made it, on budget.
